Job summary

Targa Resources is hiring a Plant Operations Technician to monitor, operate, and maintain plant equipment on a 14/14 rotation schedule. You will utilize plant control systems, monitor process parameters, and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and ability to work 12-hour day/night shifts with some weekends/holidays. Proficiency with MS Office is expected and safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with policy/insurance.
• Able to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; some weekends/holidays.
• Pass pre-employment and respirator fit testing.
• Experience with complex machinery and software; interfacing with multiple teams.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processes using control systems.
• Monitor parameters and adjust to meet targets.
• Notify maintenance of equipment abnormalities and assist repairs.
• Complete operating reports and document environmental deviations.
• Lockout/tag-out for maintenance and repair.
• Follow EH&S policies and procedures.
• Perform routine/non-routine maintenance on plant equipment.
• Maintain logs and records; ensure proper housekeeping.
• Recommend facility modifications to improve operation and reduce costs.
• Respond to unusual operating conditions within critical time limits.
• Other duties as assigned.
