Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a Plant Operations Safety Coordinator to oversee the Safety Management Program and safeguard patients, staff, visitors, and assets across the facility and offsite properties.

The ideal candidate has a BS with hospital regulatory experience, is familiar with barrier management and HVAC concepts, can read blueprints, and is proficient in Microsoft Office. Join us to support continuous quality improvement and a teamwork-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree with three years hospital regulatory experience preferred.
• Familiar with barrier management principles and techniques
• Understanding of commercial HVAC equipment principles and operation
• Ability to interpret blue print drawings
• Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a Safety Management Program to ensure safety and well-being of patients, employees, physicians, visitors, and assets at TriStar Summit Medical Center and its offsite properties.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with employees and customers.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement.
• Promote a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment.
• Fulfill departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of TriStar Summit Medical Center.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The goal of the Safety Officer is to oversee a Safety Management Program designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all patients, employees, physicians, visitors, and the assets of TriStar Summit Medical Center and its offsite properties. The Safety Officer is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all employees and customers. Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement. Maintains appropriate awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers. Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of TriStar Summit Medical Center.
