Job summary

DAP is seeking an Operations Manager in Austin, TX to plan and coordinate the compounding and packaging departments, ensuring safety, quality, customer service, efficiency, and cost control in a 24x4 and 12x3 manufacturing operation. You will lead 135+ associates across shifts and maintain non-union status.

You will work with the Plant Manager to develop staffing plans, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and uphold housekeeping and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in the relevant field.
• Management training with maintenance skills, knowledge, and ability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and time management skills.
• Microsoft Office software, MRO systems, Mainframe interactions, inventory, and financial management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate staffing requirements within customer service and budgetary constraints.
• Assist Plant Manager and peers in safety culture development and continuous improvement.
• Establish industry best housekeeping standards and maintain a neat, safe facility.
• Work with peers to uphold quality standards and high product quality.
• Hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff to maintain non-union status and drive team development.
• Establish and monitor key metrics; analyze data and drive RCA investigations and cost savings ideas.
• Establish strong daily communication with the Plant Manager and all associates.
