About The Role

Production employees build the industry leading homes and components for each of our unique Cavco brands. They follow specified engineering and safety processes to maximize the efficient manufacturing and construction of high-quality products for our customers.

The Operations Manager is the most senior leader responsible for plant infrastructure, safety, and security of the working environment. This role maintains accountability for the physical production facility, safety, process mapping, quality assurance, staffing, metrics, controls, risk management, and service level expectations. The manager oversees 2 or more FTEs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment for production employees, adhering to all safety policies.
• Communicate openly with production managers and supervisors regarding safety and infrastructure needs.
• Maintain and oversee plant infrastructure, facilities, grounds, tools, and machinery.
• Stay informed of OSHA and other safety regulations; inspect for safety concerns; ensure proper training and signage.
• Comply with regulatory and licensing requirements; coordinate with regulators for audits and assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing experience, with substantial plant maintenance and infrastructure knowledge.
• Ability to work with regulators and support teams to meet safety and production goals.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Supportive leadership skills, empathy, and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to handle tools and equipment daily; physical ability to lift 40+ pounds and perform various physical activities.
