Job summary

Venture Hire Group LLC in Charlotte, NC, seeks an experienced Plant Manager to oversee a 175,000 sq ft repackaging facility and a 300-person workforce, with safety, quality, and production as top priorities.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in manufacturing with progressive leadership, strong OSHA and QA background (RCA, ISO, SQF), plus Lean/Six Sigma and hands-on floor leadership to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations with progressive management responsibility
• Background as a Production or Operations Supervisor or Manager aiming for Plant Manager
• Knowledge of OSHA and Workers' Compensation safety programs
• Experience with Quality Assurance management including RCAs, corrective/preventive actions, ISO, AIB, SQF
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience managing a blended full-time and temporary workforce
• Knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, scheduling, and inventory control
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interface with customers
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the full daily operation of the facility with Safety, Quality, and Production as top priorities
• Lead and develop a management team of up to five direct reports overseeing ~300 employees
• Champion continuous improvement programs and build a culture of engaged associates on the floor
• Serve as primary contact for a single key customer, communicating Quality and Production performance
• Oversee demand planning, scheduling, and inventory control using the facility's WMS to maintain 100% inventory accuracy
• Manage facility budget and all assets to maximize profitability and efficiency
• Develop and implement temporary staffing guidelines to control manpower costs
• Hire, supervise, and review management performance against facility goals
• Communicate and enforce company policy while coaching for growth and development

This is a rare opportunity for a hungry Production or Operations Supervisor or Manager who has been grinding on 2nd or 3rd shift and is ready to step into a first shift Plant Manager role with real authority and real impact. You'll be responsible for the full daily operation of a 175,000 sq. ft. repackaging facility with a workforce of approximately 300 employees - owning Safety, Quality, and Production in that order. The ideal candidate is an up and comer who leads from the floor, builds genuine team culture, and is ready to prove themselves at the next level.

Immediate Opening for a Plant Manager who possesses:

• 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment with progressive management responsibility
• A background as a Production or Operations Supervisor or Manager ready to step into a Plant Manager role - this is the move up you've been working toward
• Working knowledge of Safety programs including OSHA and Workers' Compensation
• Experience with Quality Assurance management including RCAs, corrective and preventative measures, ISO, AIB, or SQF
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
