Job summary

BOS Staffing seeks an experienced operations leader to drive safety, production, quality, and cost across a composite panel manufacturing plant in Georgia. This hands-on role emphasizes floor leadership, team-building, and ownership of outcomes.

The ideal candidate will bring 8–15+ years in the engineered wood products sector, strong KPI management, and a proven track record of leading large teams in a manufacturing setting with Lean/Six Sigma experience.

Qualifications

• 8-15+ years of leadership experience in the composite panel industry
• Hands-on, floor-based leadership in a manufacturing plant environment
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Wood Science, Manufacturing, or related field preferred or equivalent experience including resin chemistry
• Demonstrated success leading large teams including supervisors, operators, and maintenance staff
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma and data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production
• Drive a safety-first culture and ensure regulatory compliance
• Establish and monitor KPIs across safety, quality, production, and cost
• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team
• Promote accountability, engagement, and continuous learning
• Lead initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and increase OEE
• Collaborate with maintenance leadership to strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Coordinate cross-functionally with sales, procurement, and corporate leadership to align production with business goals
• Manage plant-level budgets and drive cost control and efficiency initiatives
• Contribute to long-term planning, capacity expansion, and process innovation
• Model visible, floor-based leadership with ownership and discipline
