Job summary

McGean in Livonia, MI is seeking an experienced site operations leader to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the facility, lead all site employees, and drive EHS&S and quality programs to meet company standards.

The role partners with Sales, Customer Service, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure on-time fulfillment, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets and capital projects, and develop the workforce while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required; engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing and operations leadership.
• Chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all site operations follow safety policies and regulations as well as local, state, and federal requirements.
• Ensure products meet quality specifications by following company quality procedures.
• Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, and professional development of the site workforce.
• Develop and manage the annual site budget and oversee capital projects and maintenance programs.
• Oversee production scheduling, inventory management, and contract work to maximize efficiency and on-time fulfillment.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Quality, and Supply Chain to support site needs.
• Coordinate resources for new product development and implementation.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are effective.
• Address customer complaints promptly with root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and report site performance to leadership.
• Adhere to company policies including the employee handbook.
