Palmer Candy is hiring an Assistant Plant Manager in Sioux City, IA to lead safe, efficient operations in our production facility. You will drive continuous improvement, manage KPI performance, and support the Plant Manager with cost control and staffing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5+ years in manufacturing with a proven safety record. You will mentor a diverse team and ensure compliance with GMP/SQF standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science or technical field required.
• 5+ years of increasingly responsible manufacturing experience, food manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership of safety initiatives that drive a zero-injury culture.
• Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, lean manufacturing tools and operational excellence practices.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff; ability to lead multicultural teams.
• Strong financial/business acumen and ability to manage costs and budgets.
• Proficiency in MS Office; RedZone System preferred.
• English and Spanish skills a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead plant operations to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Manage KPI performance and drive improvements in OEE and cost efficiency.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
• Ensure sanitation and quality standards per GMP and SQF requirements.
• Build and develop a high-performing team through coaching, training, and retention.
• Plan and participate in annual business planning and budgeting for the plant.
• Engage production floor leadership and communicate with all levels of staff.
