Job summary

DTE Vantage in Ashtabula, OH seeks an experienced operations leader to oversee day-to-day plant O&M with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. This role requires independent judgment and initiative, with results reviewed against set goals and policies.

The successful candidate will manage budgets and coordinate maintenance while ensuring environmental stewardship and customer satisfaction. A $10,000 signing bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing operation, maintenance, and administration of plant assets.
• Strong budget planning and cost control skills.
• Solid understanding of safety and environmental regulations and practices.
• Effective written and verbal communication with staff and management.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day operation and maintenance activities.
• Acts as primary liaison with the customer on daily operations and production scheduling.
• Ensures safe and environmentally responsible facility operation per core values and regulations.
• Develops the annual O&M budget.
• Controls expenditures to keep costs within budget.
• Schedules and coordinates major maintenance and contractor activities.
• Prepares status reports on performance, issues, and forecasts.
• Implements planned maintenance programs with preventive and predictive tasks.
• Oversees training for plant personnel on safety, technical, and supervisory topics.
• Ensures compliance with policies on safety and environmental stewardship.
• Collaborates with leadership to share best practices across the organization.
