Job summary

ASC Engineered Solutions in Ashtabula, OH is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the site’s operations, safety culture, and production performance. You will direct the site leadership team, manage P&L, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to optimize capacity, quality, and efficiency.

This role emphasizes lean improvement, workforce development, budgeting, and capital planning to align with long-term business goals and customer demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations/engineering; MBA preferred.
• 7–10 years manufacturing/operations leadership experience.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience overseeing production teams.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
• Budgeting, cost control, and KPI management experience.
• Cross-functional leadership across Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain.
• Regulatory compliance experience (OSHA, EPA, ISO).
• Proven productivity and safety-improvement track record.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to foster a proactive safety culture.
• Oversee plant operations ensuring safe, efficient manufacturing.
• Direct production, maintenance, quality, scheduling, engineering, and logistics.
• Monitor KPIs and financial metrics to align with profitability goals.
• Lead capacity-planning to support current demand and growth.
• Oversee inside sales, pricing, account management, and customer retention.
• Maintain full P&L responsibility for plant operations.
• Partner with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Plan and implement capital equipment investments and facility improvements.
