Job summary

The Mundy Companies in Freeport, Texas, seeks an experienced Plant Manager to lead on-site production, packaging, loading, and logistics under a long-term contract. You will manage daily operations, drive safety and environmental compliance, and lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering high-quality ammonium sulfate products.

As the site's operational leader, you will optimize processes, develop staff, and ensure timely delivery while upholding safety standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field experience in manufacturing operations.
• 10+ years of leadership in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Hands-on with automated, high-speed packaging equipment.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with scheduling, budgets, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production, scheduling, and logistics operations.
• Develop strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and minimize costs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and environmental standards.
• Mentor and develop a team of supervisors and production staff.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for all operations.
• Partner with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth workflow.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Serve as the site's primary contact for corporate leadership, regulators, and stakeholders.
