Job summary

NORMA Group is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the new site operations with a focus on productivity, cost optimization, service, quality, and safety. You will shape the plant, hire key management, and drive a lean manufacturing system to deliver efficient results.

The role requires 10+ years of manufacturing experience, a BS in engineering, and ISO/QS/TS leadership credentials. Strong budgeting skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (ME, IE, or related). MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience in an engineering company with union workforce.
• Certified manufacturing organization leadership experience (ISO, QS, TS, TUV).
• Extensive Supply Chain Management experience using certified processes (APQC).
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques.
• Experience interacting with sales, marketing, engineering, R&D, HR, and finance.
• Working knowledge of budgets, financial statements, and production planning.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage plant operations with full P&L responsibility.
• Lead start of operations and hiring of staff per plan.
• Build and mentor the management team and culture.
• Expand and drive lean implementation as a business system.
• Ensure systems deliver best-in-class quality and responsiveness.
• Influence strategic planning to anticipate risks and opportunities.
• Oversee supply chain results to improve cost, logistics, and inventory velocity.
• Plan and manage capital expenditures and control plans.
• Implement cost controls over expenditures, staffing, wages, and incentives.
• Maintain preventive maintenance programs to protect assets.
• Monitor overall plant performance against production and quality standards.
• Reduce overtime, freight costs, and repair expenses.
• Maintain facilities and equipment to meet safety and productivity standards.
