Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated seeks a Plant Manager/Director of Operations for its Rocky Mount site in North Carolina. You will lead manufacturing, safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, driving Lean transformation and budget planning while developing staff and sustaining customer-focused operations.

You will foster a safe, organized plant culture with strong metrics, continuous improvement, and training to ensure on-time delivery and high quality across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field; MBA preferred.
• 5 years manufacturing leadership experience at Plant Manager/Director level or Manager of Operations.
• Bi-Lingual preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
• Understanding of operations metrics and managing to metrics.
• Ability to influence metrics through planned decision making.
• Experience with forecasting manufacturing needs/hours to meet key objectives.
• Ability to identify bottlenecks in shop and implement improvements.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Dynamic, results oriented, metric driven leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct overall manufacturing activities of the Rocky Mount Site.
• Maintains a safe working environment consistent with OSHA.
• Originate, measure, and improve key indicators for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost.
• Ensure the quality systems are established and maintained.
• Enhance LEAN culture and 5S; drive continuous improvement and waste elimination.
• Develop budgets and forecasts; approve expenditures for materials and resources.
• Establish work requirements and ensure production schedules are met.
• Develop staff and a culture focused on high quality and customer service.
