Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager in Star, MS to lead day-shift operations for dry-ice production. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, manage production schedules, and maintain equipment to meet quality standards and customer deadlines.

You should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, at least five years in production management, and the ability to coordinate with sales, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with formal technical training considered.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Production Management.
• Knowledge of computerized management systems.
• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility and explain basic mechanical concepts to direct reports.
• Ensure OSHA standards, safety SOPs, P/L management and labor cost management.
• Collaborate with regional sales, management and customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Interview, hire, train, and discipline employees per policy.
• Manage shift scheduling, training docs, disciplinary actions and development.
• Coordinate vendors and establish preventative maintenance programs.
