Job summary

UFP Factory Built is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all plant operations ensuring cost, quality, and productivity targets are met. You will report to the Regional Operations Manager and lead the production management team.

Responsibilities include scheduling, quality initiatives, asset protection, and coordinating inventory and safety compliance. Prior experience in plant leadership and strong MS Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of work experience as a production manager or equivalent.
• Preferred knowledge of UFP’s organization, culture, and product lines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Forklift certification is required.
• Working knowledge of shipping truck capacities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all plant assets are properly managed and safeguarded.
• Staff, develop, coach the production management team and evaluate performance.
• Develop/approve master production and shipping schedules; coordinate shifts.
• Assist in capital expenditure recommendations.
• Establish quality standards and drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Staff the plant to meet production levels and goals.
• Monitor output, yield, waste; initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Record production data in the system accurately.
• Coordinate inventory levels and month-end inventories with management.
• Ensure yard layout supports efficient operations and company policies.
