Job summary

So Good So You, a growing plant-based beverage producer based in Minneapolis, seeks an Assistant Plant Manager to oversee daily production, maintenance, and engineering activities at our expanded 70,000 sq ft facility. You will partner with the Director of Operations and Production Team Leader to drive safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement across all shifts.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and experience scaling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field is preferred (equivalent leadership experience will be considered).
• 6-7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in food/beverage/CPG environments is expected.
• Experience leading leaders (supervisor or team lead with direct reports) is ideal.
• Proven ability to manage production KPIs: throughput, yield, OEE, and downtime.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across production and technical functions to meet safety, quality, productivity and reliability goals.
• Directly supervise the Production Team Leader and oversee a 5-person Maintenance Technician team.
• Lead plant engineering and maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance, and capital projects.
• Oversee capital projects, equipment upgrades, line expansions, and vendor coordination.
• Manage parts crib infrastructure to ensure availability and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards; champion continuous improvement.
