Chatsworth Products seeks a Director of Operations to lead the Simi Valley plant, directing manufacturing, materials, maintenance, and logistics to deliver safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. You will build a high-performing team and apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve flow and capacity.

This role requires 10+ years of manufacturing leadership, Lean experience, and strong budget and KPI management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive manufacturing leadership including 5+ years leading a major operation.
• Lean Manufacturing experience with daily management, 5S, value-stream mapping, Kaizen.
• Strong budgets, capital projects, KPIs, and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing operations, planning, materials, and logistics.
• Proficient with ERP and business productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations including manufacturing, materials, maintenance, and site logistics.
• Develop and execute the operating plan to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Build Lean culture with standard work, daily management, visual controls, and continuous improvement events.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and operational requirements.
• Develop, coach, and hold leaders accountable; manage staffing and performance.
• Optimize production flow, labor, equipment, and materials to meet commitments.
• Own the plant budget and drive cost reductions and capacity improvements.
• Lead major projects such as expansions, layout changes, and equipment installs.
• Partner with Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, Engineering and Sales to standardize best practices.
