Job summary

Spring Gardens Assisted Living in Mapleton, UT is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee maintenance of the physical plant, exterior and interior common areas, and individual units. This is a hands-on role requiring coordination with a team to complete work orders and ensure safety and quality across the community.

The ideal candidate will be available on weekdays and must also be available for 24/7 emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Experience in building maintenance, with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters.
• 3 years of experience in building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping.
• Prior property management or multifamily housing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal communication with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Director is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company's mission, vision, and values.
• This is a HANDS ON POSITION, the Plant Operations Director completes work orders alongside their team members.
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers - painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds and landscaping around the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
