Job summary

Newly Weds Foods in Mississippi seeks an experienced Plant Operations leader to assist the Plant Manager in driving manufacturing goals, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency across the facility. You will coordinate with HR, QA, CS, Purchasing, and Safety, oversee staffing, budgets, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet production schedules and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in a Scientific Field Preferred or equivalent Education, Experience and Training.
• 6-8 years of Plant Operations Experience coupled with multi-functional responsibility for 3-4 years.
• Complete knowledge of Plant Management jargon and in working with auditors for successful audits.
• Working knowledge of Inventories and computerized load move data.
• People skills to manage complex departments and get the work done on time using experience and competencies.
• Ability to pass required testing.
• Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office and AS400 systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the Plant Manager by performing functions directed towards meeting manufacturing goals for customer orders.
• Direct a safe and clean manufacturing environment, ensuring product quality at all times.
• Communicate with senior, executive management and the sales force regarding budgeting and customer satisfaction.
• Manage department heads and employees to meet workload and work schedules.
• Staff departments with HR and recommend organizational changes.
• Oversee the use of labor, equipment, and facilities to control expenses.
• Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance for a successful audit.
• Plan, control and direct plant activities to optimize efficiency and overall well-being of the plant.
