Knife River Corporation is seeking a transportation and material-moving coordinator to support production and maintenance teams. You will assist in loading/unloading, plan work for transportation and equipment, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will communicate with customers and supervisors, supervise helpers, and help schedule repairs and maintenance while following company policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to work independently and under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of transportation and material-moving helpers.
• Assist in loading and unloading vehicles; operate heavy equipment/tools as needed.
• Communicate with customers, supervisors, and contractors to exchange information and resolve problems.
• Direct workers in transportation services and provide safety instruction.
• Drive vehicles or operate machines to complete work safely and efficiently.
• Enforce safety rules and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet requirements.
• Prepare and submit reports on work activities using Outlook, Excel, and Word.
