Job summary

Truity Partners in Appleton, WI is seeking an Operational Accountant who will partner with plants and operations to provide accounting support, drive margin visibility, and improve operational processes. The role goes beyond staff accounting, offering hands-on exposure to inventory, production costs, budgeting, and internal controls, using ERP systems and Excel to deliver actionable insights.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; 2+ years accounting experience; manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred; internships may count.
• Strong accounting foundation with journal entries, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Manufacturing/plant accounting or cost accounting experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel; ERP experience (SAP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plants and operational teams to provide accounting support and insight into day-to-day activities.
• Support monthly close activities: journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis.
• Review results to identify trends, variances and areas needing analysis.
• Assist with inventory, production costs, and plant-level transactions.
• Prepare recurring and ad-hoc financial reports to support decision-making.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate findings to accounting and operations leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
