Job Description :

Plant Manager positions offered by Ash Grove Cement Company (Seattle, Washington). Plans, coordinates and supervises the production operations, alternative fuel program, maintenance activities, quality and safety programs, and other related functions involved in plant operations. Incorporates directives provided by corporate management into plant policies and procedures so as to maintain appropriate standards and schedules. Uses independent judgment in making routine plant decisions. Exercises direct or indirect supervision over 80 plant employees, some of which occupy lower-level management positions. Position requires 24/7 availability as well as overnight shifts. Must be willing to travel up to 15% within North America to attend meetings and trade conferences.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field and 10 years of experience in the job offered or at least 10 years of cement experience.
  • Stated experience must include at least 10 years of experience with cement chemistry, pyro -processing operations, grinding and material handling systems, co-processing and alternative raw material usage.
  • Stated experience must include at least 5 years of experience with compliance management and 5 years of experience as a plant manager overseeing employees, contractors, and vendors
  • Stated experience must also include each of the following:
    • Negotiating multimillion dollar business and construction contracts.
    • MSHA or OSHA regulations, safe work practices, hazard recognition, regulation of air, water and waste, and general business and law contracts
  • Position requires 24/7 availability and overnight shifts
  • Must be willing to travel up to 15% within North America to attend meetings and trade conferences.

We are offering a salary range of $180,000 to $231,000.
