Job description

Job Description

Plant Manager positions offered by Ash Grove Cement Company (Seattle, Washington). Plans, coordinates, and supervises production operations, alternative fuel program, maintenance activities, quality and safety programs, and other related functions involved in plant operations. Incorporates directives provided by corporate management into plant policies and procedures to maintain standards and schedules. Uses independent judgment for routine plant decisions. Exercises supervision over approximately 80 employees, including lower-level management. Requires 24/7 availability, overnight shifts, and up to 15% travel within North America for meetings and trade conferences.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field, with 10 years of experience in cement or related roles.
  2. Experience with cement chemistry, pyro-processing, grinding, material handling, co-processing, and alternative raw materials.
  3. At least 5 years in compliance management and as a plant manager overseeing employees, contractors, and vendors.
  4. Experience negotiating multimillion-dollar contracts, and knowledge of MSHA or OSHA regulations, safety practices, hazard recognition, environmental regulation, and business law.
Additional Details

Salary range: $180,000 to $231,000.
