Plant Manager - Operations Training Program

We are seeking a passionate leader to join our team as a Manager in Training at SRM Concrete. Our management team plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our concrete plants. This position involves managing daily plant activities, overseeing concrete delivery to job sites, and ensuring optimal resource utilization to meet customer needs with exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management in the concrete or construction industry, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the plant, including staff scheduling, load planning, and route optimization.
  • Collaborate with plant managers, drivers, and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate concrete delivery.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics to assess operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues related to delivery, product quality, and service.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, fostering a safe work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance and discuss operational challenges.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and team members.
  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of dispatch operations experience, preferably in the concrete or construction industry.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for concrete transportation.
  • Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
