Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Plant Manager to serve as the senior operational leader for the Southeast Ohio/West Virginia facility, overseeing safety, people, quality, production, delivery, and financial performance.

You will develop people, establish accountability, translate operational performance into measurable results, and lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in machining, forging, or metal manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; significant leadership experience may substitute.
• Experience as Plant Manager in manufacturing, machining, forging, or metals beneficial.
• Lean/5S/Kaizen/Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement experience preferred.
• ISO 9001 experience beneficial.
• ERP/MRP and production management systems experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Excel and reporting tools.
• Proven track record leading people and delivering results in a complex environment.
• Progressive leadership with multi-department responsibility.
• Ability to build teams, develop leaders, and improve performance.
• Proven change leadership, problem solving, and financial accountability.
• Direct machining, forging, or metalworking experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall plant operations, safety, quality, production, delivery, and financial performance.
• Develop people, establish accountability, and translate performance into measurable results.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Safety, Finance, Sales, HR, Supply Chain and other locations.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost management across the plant.
• Lead through change and build high-performing teams in a complex environment.
