Job Summary:

The Plant Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing overall plant operations to ensure profitability and the attainment of goals at the Hydro Remelt facility. This position reports to the Regional General Manager and involves formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials.

Required Education/Experience:

• Minimum of a BS Degree.
• Eight to 10 years in a leadership role in a heavy manufacturing industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for plant production goals and for the coordination of plant operations within company policies and procedures, and work with HSE to develop and maintain a safe work environment.
• Improve operational systems, processes, and policies to support organizational goals.
• Manage and increase the effectiveness of Support Services (HR, IT, Finance).
• Participate in long-term planning toward operational excellence.
• Oversee financial management, planning, systems, and controls.
• Manage the location budget in coordination with the Plant Controller.
• Maintain a clean and safe plant meeting safety goals.
• Establish and maintain positive community relationships.
• Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
• Coordinate purchasing, production, and shipping with department heads.
• Schedule and conduct plant meetings.
• Drive initiatives contributing to operational excellence.
