Job summary

Hansen Argi-PLACEMENT is seeking a Plant Manager for a reputable food processing client. The role directs plant operations to meet production objectives at the lowest cost while upholding quality standards and customer delivery requirements.

You will coordinate across departments—purchasing, production, shipping—and manage budgets, inter-department workflows, and safety programs. Strong leadership and cost-control skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of seven years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in the food industry.
• Excellent leadership and personnel skills.
• Strong manufacturing management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong financial analytics including cost control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct manufacturing and maintenance operations to ensure the best return on assets.
• Minimize manufacturing costs through efficient use of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
• Coordinate manufacturing concerns between production, scheduling, materials control, QA, HR, and accounting.
• Set accountability for departments to drive problem solving and cost reduction.
• Ensure daily production scheduling aligns with current issues and production goals.
• Provide recommendations on quality, functionality, materials, packing and formulations.
• Manage spending against budget with production volume changes.
• Address employee grievances promptly and maintain safe working conditions.
• Promote positive employee involvement and constructive input across areas.
• Keep skills current with latest production and management concepts.
