Job summary

Myers Industries Roanoke Rapids plant seeks a Plant Manager to lead safety, quality, delivery, cost and people performance in a Lean manufacturing environment. You will drive problem solving, standard work, and continuous improvement to meet customer expectations while building a culture of accountability.

You will develop future leaders, manage budgets, drive operational excellence, and ensure data-driven decisions align with strategic goals and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing training required; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety remains the number one goal.
• Drive a zero-incident safety culture through leadership, audits, corrective actions, and employee engagement.
• Build and develop a high-performing team capable of meeting business needs and company values.
• Build and manage the annual operating budget aligned to forecast and profitability targets.
• Communicate objectives, plans, performance, and expectations to maximize engagement and accountability.
• Lead value stream operations including current-state and future-state mapping and improvement plans.
• Implement Lean principles including standard work, visual management, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
