Job summary

CRH plc's Eco Material Technologies in Pennsylvania seeks a Plant Manager to oversee all production facility activities, including mining and grinding pozzolan, drying and testing landfilled fly ash, and maintaining the equipment for continuous operation. You will lead safety, quality, schedule adherence, labor efficiency, waste management, and cost controls.

The role emphasizes SOP development, KPI-driven performance, Six Sigma projects, preventive maintenance, and close collaboration with QA

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and management of people with proven team-building ability.
• Experience using metrics and KPIs to drive results and planning.
• Knowledge of lean tools (root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, visual management, 5S).
• OSHA/MSHA safety knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct greenfield start-up activities and implement SOPs, training and ops systems.
• Lead shift production teams on safety, quality, schedule adherence, labor efficiency, waste, maintenance and cost.
• Optimize processes to improve plant efficiency and develop indicators tied to performance.
• Collaborate with QC to ensure product quality and conformance to specs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and end users to meet production requirements and quality standards.
• Ensure preventive maintenance systems are utilized and repairs are timely.
• Assist in hiring and evaluate plant employees annually.
• Apply Six Sigma and related methods to maintain organized operations and continuous improvements.
• Create reporting formats to communicate results to plant associates.
