Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required for this role.
• Minimum of 5 years in an industrial plant environment.
• 5+ years in driver, operations, distribution or quality roles.
• At least three years of experience leading and developing employees.
• Willingness to work in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for a team of entry-level production employees to ensure customer demand is met.
• Coordinate daily production activities and distribution requirements, including local delivery routes and shuttle scheduling.
• Lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety initiatives to meet governmental and environmental regulations; ensure employees are trained and committed to Linde Safety and Quality systems.
• Monitor production performance and manpower levels to maintain efficiency, anticipate problems, and develop contingencies.
• Identify operational challenges and lead improvement efforts related to production processes, shift scheduling, and training; report progress to plant management.
• Manage and elevate equipment and product quality issues, maintain inventory of production supplies, and support 5S and Lean projects and hazardous waste activities.
