Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Plant Manager to lead our food production operations. This is a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for directing and coordinating daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in food/beverage manufacturing, with extensive knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations, GMP, SQF, CAPA, and RCA. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage personnel effectively, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Fluency in Spanish is a must, as the role involves overseeing a diverse, bilingual team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the food production plant, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FDA, USDA, GMP, SQF, CAPA, and RCA.
  • Lead and manage a diverse, bilingual team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant facilities and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor training programs to ensure all personnel are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align objectives and strategies, ensuring the overall success of the company.
  • Manage budget and resources, making necessary adjustments to meet operational goals.
  • Handle any issues or emergencies promptly and professionally, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Food Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial role in the food/beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Proven knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations, GMP, SQF, CAPA, and RCA.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of computer software, including MS Office and production management systems.
  • Experience in training and personnel management.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
