Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the Springfield Pike aggregates operation in Connellsville, PA, including an underground mine and processing plant, with responsibility for safety, performance, and continuous improvement.

You will oversee budgeting, cost control, production planning, and develop strong teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operations across quarry, mining, and processing environments. This role requires field presence and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated leadership experience in large-scale aggregates, quarry, or mining operations.
• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, maintenance, and operational compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching, communication, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead aggregate plant and underground mining operations to meet safety, production, quality, and cost goals.
• Foster a strong safety culture through leadership, risk management, regulatory compliance, and workforce engagement.
• Drive operational excellence by improving equipment reliability, plant efficiency, maintenance performance, and resource utilization.
• Manage site financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, production planning, and achievement of business objectives.
• Develop, coach, and support supervisors and employees while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
