About The Role

The basic function of the Plant Manager is to provide leadership to plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and control the mining of raw materials and the production of shippable product at the assigned plant. The role involves ensuring quality production, proper staffing, inventory monitoring, and coordination with various departments including Operations, Fleet Maintenance, and Quality Control. The Plant Manager will analyze and monitor production efficiency, develop strategies to improve productivity, and maintain safety as a top priority while controlling costs.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Identify operational opportunities and develop strategies for efficiency and productivity improvements.
  2. Address customer needs while promoting the company's long-term interests.
  3. Implement production and scheduling programs to increase productivity and ensure safe operations within budget.
  4. Manage subordinate performance, work independently, meet deadlines, and oversee the plant with fiscal responsibility.
  5. Delegate responsibilities, evaluate performance, and hold others accountable.
  6. Participate in safety inspections and ensure environmental compliance.
  7. Communicate with the site crew, including operators and laborers, and participate in operating activities as needed.
  8. Supervise team to maintain production and efficiency, schedule production, and oversee preventative maintenance.
  9. Maintain inventory levels to meet customer needs.
  10. Coordinate safety issues, investigate incidents, and ensure environmental and permit compliance.
  11. Responsible for rail circuit loading/unloading between Stringtown and DFW area.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience in aggregate mining and plant production.
  • Preferred fields: Mining Engineering, Management.
  • Required certifications: MSHA Supervisor’s Card (preferred).
  • Proficiency in computer skills; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, planning, and management skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, water, pumps, motors, conveyors, and air systems.
  • Decision-making ability and understanding of material handling.
  • Commitment to safety, health, and environmental policies, including PPE protocols.
