Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Roseville, MI seeks a Custodial/Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee daily plant operations and ensure safe, efficient production.

You will direct production to meet output, quality, delivery, and cost goals, supervise department supervisors and staff, and coordinate foundry activities from molding to finishing. A strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Foundry experience preferred; steel industry experience a plus.
• Pattern-making knowledge or experience preferred.
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around heavy industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations for safe, efficient production.
• Direct production to meet output, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Supervise supervisors and staff, including scheduling & development.
• Coordinate foundry operations: molding, core making, melting, finishing, machining.
• Enforce standard work, quality, and safety standards.
• Monitor processes and act to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Operate or oversee equipment such as cranes, forklifts, furnaces, and conveyors.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficient and safe production
• Direct production activities to meet goals for output, quality, delivery, and cost
• Supervise department supervisors and employees, including scheduling, performance management, and employee development
• Coordinate foundry operations including molding, core making, melting/pouring, finishing, and machining
• Enforce standardized work procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Monitor production processes and take initiative to resolve issues and improve efficiency
• Operate or oversee equipment including overhead cranes, forklifts, dollies, furnaces, and conveyor systems

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Foundry experience preferred; steel industry experience a plus
• Pattern-making knowledge or experience preferred
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
• Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
• Takes initiative and works well in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly, approachable, and hardworking
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around heavy industrial equipment

Additional information for the Custodial position

• Pay: $27-30 per hour
• Monday-Friday: 6 AM-3:30 PM
• Roseville, Michigan
