Job summary

Latham Pool Products, Inc. is seeking a Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our Youngstown, Ohio facility, aligning with corporate goals and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will oversee production planning, maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration to meet SLAs and KPI targets. The role demands 10+ years in manufacturing/engineering, strong leadership, and experience with capital projects and Lean Six Sigma.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment.
  • 5+ years managing capital expenditures.
  • 5+ years using Lean Six Sigma tools and methods.
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing plant leadership capacity.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience (Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred).
  • Knowledge of basic accounting/finance principles and budgeting.
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead plant operations to deliver performance across safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost.
  • Establish operating rhythms (daily/weekly/monthly) to monitor performance and drive corrective actions.
  • Partner with shared services leaders including Quality, EH&S, Planning/Scheduling, Warranty, Customer Service, and Design to support tactical execution and long-term strategy.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and third-party resources for facility maintenance and uptime.
  • Execute company EH&S policies, procedures, training, and practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methods.
  • Own and manage the facility expense budget.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage capital expenditure projects with measurable ROI.

Job Summary: ThePlant Managerat ourYoungstown, Ohiofacility is responsible for leading day-to-day plant operations to achieve corporate goals through strong execution of our mission and vision. The Plant Manager is accountable foroverall plant performance, including achievingnear- and long-term KPIs and business objectivesin acost-effectiveway while ensuring strict alignment withhealth & safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

This role provides leadership throughdelegation to production and key supervisors, while also owning accountability for the facility operating in asafe, clean, and responsiblemanner consistent with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Functional Leadership & Operational Excellence
  • Lead plant operations to deliver performance acrosssafety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost
  • Establish operating rhythms (daily/weekly/monthly) to monitor performance and drive corrective actions
  • Partner with shared services leaders includingQuality, EH&S, Planning/Scheduling, Warranty, Customer Service, and Designto support both tactical execution and long-term strategy
  • Lead and coordinate internal and third-party resources for facility maintenance and uptime
Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)
  • Execute companyEH&S policies, procedures, training, and practices
  • Establish routine practices to support compliance withOSHA and all applicable standards
  • Maintain facility security and enforce responsible site practices
  • Drive continuous improvement usingLean and Six Sigma methods
  • Deliver measurable improvements in:
  • Throughput & labor utilizationvia lean/six sigma execution and daily problem-solving
  • Material utilization & variance reductionthrough targeted improvement initiatives
  • Participate in and supportPMO (Project Management Office)activities and improvement governance
Production Planning & Customer Delivery
  • Execute the plant production plan and meet/exceedorder fulfillment demandsaligned withService Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensure quality criteria are consistently met throughout production processes
  • Oversee facility, plant, and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime
Budgeting & Financial Accountability
  • Own and manage the facilityexpense budget
  • Prepare, submit, and manageCapital Expenditure Requests / Projects (CERs)with measurable ROI
  • DriveVariable Cost Productivity (VCP)andBase Cost Productivity (BCP)initiatives by defining goals, tracking performance, and delivering results through completion
  • Perform HR-related responsibilities aligned with company processes, including:
  • Salary administration and performance review processes based on annual headcount planning/budget
  • Staffing leadership: identify staffing needs, interview and recommend direct/indirect hires, and ensure cross-training readiness
  • Maintain an engaged and inclusive culture with proactive issue resolution
  • Support employee relations by partnering with HR to uphold company policies, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Build and maintain long-term succession plans and provide training/coaching to planned successors
What You Bring to the Table:
Qualifications Required

10+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment, including:

  • 5+ yearsmanagingcapital expenditures
  • 5+ yearsusingLean Six Sigma tools and methods
  • 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing plant leadership capacity
  • Lean Manufacturing experience (Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred)
