Job Summary

The Plant Manager oversees all plant operations at the Fusion Imaging Orlando location, including production, quality control, maintenance, receiving, and shipping. Responsibilities also include recruiting, hiring, training personnel, maintaining the physical plant, and capital improvements. The role involves annual budget planning and execution.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership for the successful daily operation of the facility.
  2. Review production schedules to ensure inventory levels are met efficiently.
  3. Coordinate hiring and training of manufacturing personnel.
  4. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
  5. Manage inventory levels and product flow.
  6. Support safety and housekeeping programs, including communication initiatives.
  7. Develop and implement manufacturing budgets.
  8. Assess workforce requirements.
  9. Conduct performance appraisals, coaching, and guidance.
  10. Promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  11. Address production constraints by allocating resources and directing staff.
  12. Eliminate waste and constraints to improve efficiency and productivity.
  13. Collaborate with R&D and product management on new product strategies.
  14. Create purchase orders in coordination with the Purchasing department.
  15. Maintain security systems and access controls.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
Critical Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership/management experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with budgeting, expense management, and basic financial practices.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with continuous improvement/lean manufacturing tools.
  • Understanding of safety systems and enforcement policies.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and coaching skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, maintenance, and engineering principles.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Motivated, results-oriented, and driven.
