Job description

Fluidra is looking for a Plant Manager to join our team at our Fiberglass Filter Plant in Jacksonville, FL.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

As the Plant Manager for our Fluidra USA Facility, this individual will manage and direct the company’s manufacturing, P&L management, sourcing, supply chain, and logistics with indirect oversight for quality and safety operations for our fiberglass filters plant. Additionally, you will:

  • Direct all manufacturing support functions, including manufacturing, production planning, assembly, purchasing, shipping, and receiving.
  • Plan, organize, and run day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
  • Champion continuous improvement to increase production, capacity, and flexibility while minimizing costs.
  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with the company’s strategic initiatives.
  • Lead manufacturing employees in annual planning and continuous improvement programs, including lean management.
  • Monitor operational metrics such as cost, inventory, delivery, and productivity; ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Promote a safe work environment, ensuring OSHA compliance and safety training.
  • Oversee purchasing to meet material needs in quality, cost, and timing.
  • Collaborate with other Fluidra manufacturing entities to share procedures and technologies.
  • Coach and develop operations staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE SEEK

  • 5+ years’ experience in plant operations.
  • Experience with short batch production and product variety.
  • Preferred expertise in fiberglass manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of business management principles.
  • Understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and demand processes.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Additional advantageous experience includes:

  • Familiarity with the pool/spa industry and equipment.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, or related field.
