Job summary

What Makes You A Good Fit?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain management within a production environment.
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and SQDC metrics.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams and managing change.
  • Skilled at building and institutionalizing process frameworks for sustained performance.
  • ERP system proficiency; Epicor experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to custom fabrication and complex assembly environments is preferred.

Role

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all operations and manufacturing functions at a Southeast-US based production facility. The scope includes procurement, production planning, fabrication, assembly, and process optimization, with a strong emphasis on lean initiatives and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day activities across Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Inventory, and Shop Operations.
  • Establish and track KPIs to enhance productivity and support operational goals.
  • Drive a culture of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) through daily improvement practices.
  • Champion a collaborative team environment that supports continuous improvement.
  • Guide site-wide Lean initiatives and support the adoption of operational best practices.
  • Provide regular operational updates—both data-driven and qualitative—to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate closely with safety and quality functions to ensure aligned execution of plant initiatives.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication across all operational teams.
  • Support sourcing strategy and supplier onboarding in collaboration with supply chain leadership.
  • Limited travel required (<10%).
  • Work involves a mix of office and production floor presence. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and occasionally lift or crouch as needed.
  • Exposure to machinery and noise levels typical of a manufacturing setting.

Compensation & Location

This full-time position is based in South Metro Atlanta. It is available for immediate hire. A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate, including a base salary, performance bonus, 401(k) with company match, profit-sharing component, and excellent health benefits. This is an on-site role, and the company will pay relocation costs.
