Job summary

Arrowhead Talent Solutions is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all operations at the Mount Vernon facility. You will lead startup activities, establish manufacturing layout, hire and train staff, and drive production launch to target levels.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Leadership, Engineering, HR, Finance, and Sales to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality are achieved while maintaining a safe, compliant workplace and implementing KPIs for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leadership in systems manufacturing across multiple functions.
• Experience with startup, scale-up, and production launch.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring schedules and quality targets are met.
• Lead Production, Quality, Procurement, Logistics and Maintenance heads.
• Manage operating budget, Capex planning, and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with Sales and Project Management to meet production capabilities.
• Control headcount to meet production needs and drive performance.
• Ensure EHS compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with Leadership, Engineering, HR, and Finance on plant setup.

Job description

Reporting to the COO, the Plant Manager will oversee all operations at the facility. This role will be instrumental in building out the initial plant layout and functions necessary to deliver targeted production levels. These activities include manufacturing layout, subcomponent assembly, equipment sourcing and purchase, hiring and training of staff and production launch.

Core Responsibilities:

• Work with Leadership, Engineering, HR, Finance and other functions to establish manufacturing and production at newly acquired facility
• Oversee day to day operations ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met
• Provide leadership to direct reports including Production, Quality, Procurement, Logistics and Maintenance
• Manage operating budget, Capex planning and maintenance schedules to facilitate projected growth requirements
• Work with Sales and Project Management to ensure production schedules, capabilities and products meet requirements
• Manage headcount to meet production needs
• Work with EHS and HR to ensure workplace is compliant with all regulatory requirements
• Establish and maintain effective KPIs

Requirements:

• 10+ years experience in systems manufacturing leadership overseeing multiple functions.
• Familiar with start up, scale expansion and planning and necessary to launch production
• Experience in budgeting and capital planning
• Familiarity with manufacturing assembly requirements and ability to leverage capability across both standard and custom products
• Excellent people management skills at all levels. Ability to build work and project teams and maintain a highly motivated and engaged workforce
• Solid track record of maintaining EHS requirements and building a safety culture at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to conduct analysis related to continuous quality improvement including the implementation and maintenance of ISO and LEAN systems
• Degree in Engineering, Business or related field. P. Eng. is a strong asset
