Job summary

ACCU Staffing is seeking an experienced Plant Manager for a full-time, on-site role in Lakewood, NJ. You will lead Production and Maintenance, manage safety, staffing, and continuous improvement in a plastics manufacturing setting.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, and senior management to ensure efficient operations, strong uptime, and compliance with safety standards across the plant.

Qualifications

• Experience with plastic extrusion, welding, and injection molding.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Automation Direct PLC.
• Master's degree or 4–10 years of related experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Certifications such as OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support daily Production and Maintenance operations.
• Review production and shipping schedules and coordinate staffing to maintain continuous operations.
• Develop and improve SOPs, production methods, and equipment performance.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and installations.
• Assist with diagnosing machinery and equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Control to improve equipment and processes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve utilization of labor and materials.
• Oversee facility maintenance, OSHA compliance, safety policies, and workplace organization.
• Manage department budgets, operational supplies, and equipment needs.
• Supervise Production and Maintenance staff, including hiring, training, assignments, performance management, and employee relations.

This hands-on leadership position oversees production, maintenance, facility operations, safety, staffing, and continuous improvement within a plastics manufacturing environment. The role works closely with Engineering, Quality Control, and senior management to maintain efficient and safe production operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support daily Production and Maintenance operations
• Review production and shipping schedules and coordinate staffing needs to maintain continuous operations

• Develop preventive maintenance programs and coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance, and installations
• Assist with diagnosing machinery and equipment malfunctions
• Work with Engineering and Quality Control to improve equipment, processes, and overall plant operations

• Oversee facility maintenance, OSHA compliance, company safety policies, and workplace organization

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of plastic extrusion, thermal and sonic welding, injection molding, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Automation Direct PLC
• Master's degree or equivalent, or 4-10 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations and prepare reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Forklift, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Fire Safety, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications, along with a valid driver's license
