Green Bay Packaging continues to grow and has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Manager at its newly built manufacturing plant in Aurora, Illinois. The operation consists of a 74,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility with hot melt adhesive coaters and slitting machines. We operate two shifts, 5 days a week with approximately 30 hourly employees.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for the organization and leadership of the production environment, working with manufacturing management to build an atmosphere committed to superior quality and service. The primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to safety, quality, training, teamwork, and productivity.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 10+ years of Senior Operations Leadership experience, preferably with adhesive coatings and pressure sensitive adhesive materials and/or web handling
• A four-year technical degree, Engineering preferred
• An open and cooperative management style to help drive cultural change
• A commitment to Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma and 5S principles
• Excellent organization, communication, and motivation skills
• The ability to develop and achieve operational goals and objectives
• The ability to utilize operational analytics to develop a data-driven decision-making culture
In addition, a certification in Certified Maintenance & Reliability (CMRP) and Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred but not required.
