Job summary

Hudson-Industries is seeking a Plant Operations Leader to set policy, align cross-functional teams, and drive performance at the Indiana facility. You will direct Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Finance through managers, ensuring strategy-aligned objectives and strong customer relations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations preferred.
  • Ten years' experience in a related field, preferably with an automotive supplier.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated success leading employees in a changing environment.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate project assignments with all organizational levels.
  • Experience with lean, six sigma, and/or continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Sets overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations.
  • Coordinates and directs through managers, all functions of facility operations (Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Finance).
  • Aligns operational objectives with business objectives for a strategy-focused workforce.
  • Manages operating performance through MPS processes and structured problem solving.
  • Directs and mentors the plant leadership team to perform their roles effectively.
  • Fosters an environment that supports company goals, continuous improvement, and customer relationships.
  • Accountable for day-to-day decisions impacting safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Attracts, develops, coaches, and motivates managers and staff for key positions.
  • Represents the company in the local community to enhance image and reputation.

  • Coordinates and directs through managers, all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Finance.
  • Aligns operational objectives with the overall business objectives to ensure a strategy-focused workforce.
  • Manages operating performance through the effective use of the MPS process and structured problem solving.

Job Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Engineering or Operations preferred.
  • Ten years' experience in a related field, preferably with an automotive supplier.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated success in effectively and confidently providing "leadership" to employees in a constantly changing environment.
  • Must be able to effectively and confidently communicate and coordinate project assignments with employees, customers, and suppliers at all levels of their respective organizations.
  • Experience with lean, six sigma, and/or continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
Special Skills
  • The ability to administer policies and procedures dictated by corporate resources.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical requirements include regularly spending time on the manufacturing plant floor, with prolonged standing, walking and exposure to typical production environments (noise, PPE use and occasional lifting).
