Ionbond – Greensboro Coating Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at our advanced coating facility. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a hands-on environment, excels in leadership, and values delivering exceptional customer service. As Plant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of plant operation, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while fostering a collaborative, people-focused culture. From working closely with the production team and maintaining operational excellence to crafting business strategies and engaging with customers, you’ll play a pivotal role in the center’s success!

What defines this job?

• Ensure a culture of safety is followed in all aspects of the operation and create a people-centered environment that fosters teamwork and excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with the local management team to achieve and maintain quality and production goals.
• Monitor the processing of existing customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Manage and support the local maintenance team to ensure maximum uptime of all plant equipment.
• Create and monitor the P&L statement; develop and implement financial strategies for the plant including future personnel, equipment, and facility needs.
• Offer technical guidance related to the facility's production processes.
• Work closely with the Sales Manager and Process Engineers to onboard new customers and coating applications.
• Manage daily administrative and operational tasks, including the 5S program within the facility.
• Coordinate with other company resources as needed.
• Provide hands-on support as necessary.

What do we ask?

Candidates must have at least 5 years of management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Experience with Vacuum Coating Technology, Material Science, or Surface Technology is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in employee development and leadership, with a hands-on approach to operations management and a willingness to work alongside colleagues on the production floor. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with peers, management, and suppliers.
