Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day plant operations, including Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics.
• Drive plant performance against throughput, scrap, downtime, and delivery KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; promote safety culture.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Manage production planning to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Oversee quality systems in line with industry standards.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for operational issues.
• Act as primary contact for customer audits and technical queries.
• Lead and develop plant teams; foster high-performance culture.
• Champion Lean and Six Sigma across the site.

Smart4Sciences are recruiting for a Plant Manager for a leading international manufacturing organization based in Greencastle, Indiana. This is an exciting senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Plant Manager to take full responsibility for site operations, drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. As Plant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of plant operations, working closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and other key functions to ensure operational excellence. You will lead and develop a high-performing team while driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and efficiency improvements across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day plant operations, including Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics.


• Drive plant performance against key metrics including throughput, scrap, downtime, and delivery.


• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a strong safety-first culture.


• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing site.


• Manage production planning to consistently meet customer delivery requirements.


• Oversee quality systems in line with relevant industry standards.


• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities to resolve operational and quality issues.


• Act as the primary contact for customer audits and technical queries.


• Lead, develop, and mentor plant teams, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture.

Requirements
