We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.

Plant Manager
Who We Are

M&M Manufacturing produces sheet metal ductwork, fittings, and accessories that support air distribution and ventilation in residential and commercial buildings. Join a team where you can help strengthen manufacturing operations, develop people, and deliver quality products that customers depend on.

As part of Marmon Holdings, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company, M&M Manufacturing combines the close-knit partnership of a smaller business with the resources and connectivity of a global organization. Here, people are encouraged to do work that matters, lead at every level, and win a better way through collaboration, continuous improvement, and meaningful results.

What You’ll Do

As the Plant Manager, you will lead daily plant operations and put manufacturing strategies into action to support the company’s short- and long-term goals. Working with employees, sales teams, customers, and suppliers, you will build a safe, productive operation that delivers quality, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.

  • Oversee production, maintenance, quality control, and inventory management to support efficient operations and dependable order fulfillment.
  • Establish operating priorities, streamline processes, and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements while building an active, positive safety culture.
  • Champion the M&M Manufacturing Lean Program and continuous improvement efforts to improve safety, productivity, efficiency, and operating income.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, analyze results, and lead corrective actions to meet plant targets.
  • Lead, coach, and develop plant employees through regular feedback, performance evaluations, and training, creating an inclusive environment that supports teamwork and professional growth.
  • Partner with the sales team to understand customer needs, fulfill orders accurately and on time, and identify opportunities for sales growth.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other business partners.
  • Prepare and manage the plant budget, control expenses, and use financial analysis and reporting to guide decisions and improve profitability.
What You’ll Need
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in plant management or a similar role, preferably in an engineer-to-order or project-based manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing plant operations, production processes, and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies, with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, expense management, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other relevant business software.
  • Effective leadership, team-building, coaching, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with ownership of plant performance and accountability for results.
  • The ability to build positive customer and stakeholder relationships, respond to internal and external customer needs, and remain open to new ideas and approaches.
What You’ll Gain

You will join a team where your contributions can make a visible difference. In addition, eligible employees may receive:

  • Competitive compensation aligned with the role, experience, and location.
  • Medical, dental, prescription, and vision coverage.
  • A 401(k) plan with company match.
