Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Plant Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and managing a team of production staff. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record of optimizing plant operations, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management:

o Oversee day-to-day operations of the plant to ensure products are manufactured in a timely, cost-effective, and high-quality manner.
o Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
o Monitor and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring continuous flow of production with minimal downtime.

• Team Leadership & Development:
o Lead, train, and motivate a team of supervisors, production workers, and support staff.
o Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and accountability, ensuring all employees adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
o Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and support professional development initiatives.

• Safety & Compliance:
o Ensure the plant operates in compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
o Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and drills, addressing any potential hazards proactively.
o Lead efforts to maintain or achieve ISO or industry-specific certifications.• Quality Control & Improvement:
o Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that products meet or exceed company and industry standards.
o Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality.• Budget & Resource Management:
o Develop and manage plant budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources while meeting financial targets.
o Optimize plant expenditures related to labor, materials, and equipment maintenance.
o Monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of raw materials without overstocking.• Maintenance & Equipment Management:
o Oversee plant equipment maintenance, ensuring minimal disruptions and prolonging asset life.
o Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventative maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime.• Reporting & Analysis:
o Generate reports on plant performance, production output, inventory levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
o Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
o Present reports and updates to senior management, recommending corrective actions or improvements.Qualifications:
• Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
o Relevant certifications in manufacturing management or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.• Experience:

o 10+ years of experience in plant or production management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

o Proven experience leading and managing a diverse team.
o Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.• Skills:
o Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
o Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
o Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and other manufacturing software.Working Conditions:
• Full-time, on-site position.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
