What You'll Be Doing
- Lead production team - oversee and manage production staff to maximize performance and productivity from every employee
- Develop production schedules - create and maintain schedules ensuring on-time completion and highest quality standards
- Implement and monitor key performance metrics - establish processes to track on-time delivery, productivity, labor standards, quality, waste/scrap, costs, and others
- Partner with customers - collaborate directly with clients to discuss and establish realistic scheduling timelines for product delivery
- Mentor and develop team - direct and coach direct reports and entire operations team to accomplish operational plan goals
- Financial management - work with CEO and VP of Operations to establish budgets, labor standards, cost controls, and performance measurements
- Implement corrective actions - address any deviations from target performance through systematic problem-solving approaches
What You Bring
- Proven adaptability - demonstrated history of applying skills from previous experiences to bring leading-edge approaches to smaller, less-resourced environments
- Process expertise - deep understanding of S&OP, Annual Business Planning, and Business Review processes
- Track record of results - proven success in financial performance, operational excellence, execution, and team development
- Extensive experience - 10+ years work experience with 5+ years as senior-level operations manager in manufacturing facility with union workers
- Hands-on approach - actively involved management style with direct engagement in day-to-day operations
- Education - Bachelor's degree preferred
