Humareso is working with a leading food manufacturer of high-quality frozen products, sauces, and specialty foods serving retail, club, and food service markets. We seek a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to join the team.

Overview

The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of daily plant operations, including production, staffing, quality control, safety, maintenance, and logistics. This key leadership role requires a proactive manager who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in food manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the plant to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production.
• Lead and manage plant staff including production supervisors, line workers, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP) and internal quality control procedures.
• Monitor production metrics and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
• Manage production schedules and inventory control in conjunction with other locations
• Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to meet customer demands
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
• Maintain and oversee preventive maintenance programs for equipment and facility.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing.
• 3+ years of plant leadership or operations management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
