Job summary

Knife River is seeking a skilled plant maintenance professional to service Ready Mix plants across North Dakota. Overnight travel is required to ensure continuous production and plant reliability.

Ideal candidates will have substantial mechanical/electrical experience, a HS diploma with trades training, and the ability to maintain licensure and a medical card. Join a leading construction materials producer committed to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School or GED plus higher trade or technical school or equivalent in related field.
• 5+ years mechanical and electrical experience.
• Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance of all Ready Mix plant and equipment including setup of new or temporary plant operations.
• Plans and coordinates schedule of preventative maintenance.
• Maintains inventory of parts and equipment and requisitions replacement stock.
• Estimates costs of personnel, parts and supplies to be used during maintenance.
• Keeps equipment running and maintained properly to maximize production and quality.
• Communicate effectively; self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; maintain positive customer relations and courteous behavior.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve situations (material quality, equipment operation/repair).
• Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulations compliance; use Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Back-up plant operator and performs other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
