Knife River is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform essential upkeep on Ready Mix Plants across North Dakota, with overnight travel required. The role focuses on ensuring reliable plant operations, preventative maintenance, and safe handling of equipment.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, manage parts inventory, and coordinate with teams to minimize downtime while adhering to MSHA, OSHA, EPA, and DNR safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with additional trade/technical training.
• Minimum 5+ years of mechanical and electrical experience.
• Valid licensure, medical card, and acceptable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Oversees maintenance of Ready Mix plant and equipment, including setup of new or temporary plant operations.
• Plans and coordinates schedule of preventative maintenance.
• Maintains inventory of parts and equipment and requisitions replacement stock.
• Estimates costs of personnel, parts and supplies to be used during maintenance.
• To keep equipment running and maintained properly to maximize production and quality.
• Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written); Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
• Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance, Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Back-up plant operator and performs other duties as assigned.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

To perform necessary maintenance on Ready Mix Plants throughout North Dakota. Overnight travel is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

1. High School or GED plus higher trade or technical school or equivalent in related field
2. 5+ years mechanical and electrical experience
3. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.
